31. Nuvema Town

After a drawn out battle, you'll finally defeat Ghetsis. There'll be a lot more dialogue before Alder and Cheren take Ghetsis away for good.
N then goes over to you and takes you over to his throne. He remembers first meeting you in Accumula Town, says he enjoyed his time and stuff, but is also clearly having doubts about stuff. Then, in one last act, he tosses away his Zekrom or Reshiram before saying goodbye.
Annnnddd... CREDITS!

The End

...not really! There's still plenty more for you to do in the game after beating the main storyline. After the credits roll, your game will save (so make sure you watch the credits!). When you continue the game you'll be back in your house in Nuvema Town, ready for another adventure.
Nuvema Town

Unova Pokemon Reviews only!

The main purpose of the Pokemon Reviews throughout the walkthrough was to help give you an idea of what Pokemon you should use to help beat the game, or how to use a certain Pokemon you've caught and are interested in training. Well, guess what: you've beaten the game! Although the every day Trainers get a lot more difficult, you have access to higher level Pokemon, the ability to transfer Pokemon from your older games, and there are just far too many choices out there.
You have the ability to make your own choices when it comes to the non-Unova Pokemon. All of the Unova Pokemon are fully covered, whereas the older Pokemon should be more familiar to you. There will be no reviews of any Pokemon that isn't exclusive to Unova. I encourage you to look through any of the other Pokemon's Pokedex entries and make your own decisions, using the knowledge and general concepts you've gained from the earlier Pokemon Reviews.
That being said, there are actually three more Pokemon Reviews remaining in the walkthrough: one for Volcarona (Relic Castle section), one for Landorus (Abundant Shrine section), and one for Kyurem (Giant Chasm section).

Nuvema Town

Now that you've beaten the game...

There's a lot for you to do after you've beaten the game, but you can do it in pretty much whatever order you'd like. Below is a list of some of the things that happen after you fire up the game once you've beaten it to give you an idea of what you'd like to do now.
  • You wake up in your room. When you go downstairs, it'll look like you have two moms down there at first, but one of them is just Looker (yeah, the guy from Platinum). He'll say how he's looking for the Plasma sage dudes and will give you the Super Rod.
  • When you leave your house, Cheren and Bianca will be outside. Cedric Juniper will come over and upgrade your Pokedex. This is when you get the National Dex! You don't have to do anything special to get it, don't worry.
  • From here, you can search for the six remaining Plasma sages across Unova.
  • From here on in, all of the Trainers you're going to fight use Pokemon at level 60-65! No joke! There's nowhere in particular you can go to level up, except fighting against them and other wild Pokemon at level 48-55 (or up to 60+ in the thick grass!). However, don't let their levels intimidate you, because they usually aren't tougher than the Elite Four, N, or Ghetsis were due to their lack of powerful moves or high stats.
  • You can go to Opelucid City and then head east to go towards the Giant Chasm, where you can eventually catch the legendary Ice/Dragon-type Pokemon, Kyurem L75.
  • You can go east of Nimbasa City and across the bridge to reach either the White Forestor the Black City, depending on your version. You need to interact with people in the Entralink in order for stuff to happen here.
  • When you cross that bridge, the Shadow Triad will give you the Lustrous OrbAdamant Orb, and Griseous Orb.
  • The Abundant Shrine is around White Forest or Black City, up some waterfalls in the route to the northeast. You can take both Tornadus and Thundurus there to encounterLandorus L70.
  • You can go back to the Relic Castle and, after some exploring, you can find an VolcaronaL70 down there that you can catch!
  • Undella Town on the far east has a girl outside that will give you HM06 (Dive) if you talk to her, which can be used to dive off the coast of the town. You can get most of the Plates for Arceus down there, as well as a ton of loot that can be sold for millions!
  • Cynthia is available for you to battle in a house in Undella Town. Beware, because she uses Pokemon at level 75+!
  • The Poke Transfer Lab just to the west of Black City or White Forest can be used to "migrate" Pokemon from Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver if you have two Nintendo DS systems available to you. There are no badge requirements on any of the games you're transferring Pokemon from, and the transfer is one-way.
  • The Elite Four are now far, far stronger, possessing tough level 71+ Pokemon on their team. If you beat all of them, you'll be able to take on the Champion, too, who uses Pokemon from level 75 to 77!
  • You can take on Game Freak Morimoto in the Game Freak building in Castelia City. This trainer is modeled after the programmer, game designer, and even Pokemon designer himself, Shigeki Morimoto. He has a full team of Pokemon with levels 75 to 77, but is easier than Cynthia or Champion Alder.
After continuing your game, you'll appear inside of your room in Nuvema Town. Go ahead and go downstairs, where you'll find your mom and... your mom? Yeah, no joke, you've got two moms now. Not! It turns out someone was just masquerading as your mom (it's an odd hobby, I know), and that someone just happens to be codenamed Looker!
Yes, that's right, it's Looker from Platinum. He was undercover in the castle when it collapsed, then everyone scattered so now he's asking for your help to track down the remaining Plasma sages.
He'll give you the Super Rod after some speech, which means you can finally fish for Pokemon! Hurray! He'll tell you how to use it after giving it to you, then he'll head out the door. Great, you should go do the same right now!
When you exit your house, Cheren and Bianca will be there waiting for you. Cheren said he saw that strange Looker dude, and Bianca says some stuff about the Striaton City Gym Leaders. They'll then talk about some other places and about either Black City (Black) or White Forest (White) being off to the east of Nimbasa City, accessible through Route 16. Nifty!
Afterwards, Cedric Juniper comes out from the lab and gives all three of you an upgrade to your Pokedexes. Yes, that's right, you'll now officially have the National Dex! All of the Pokedex numbers shown on, say, your party screen and while browsing boxes will now be shown as the National Dex #. However, in order to see the National Dex listing on your Pokedex itself, you simply need to press Select and it will switch between the Unova Dex and the National Dex modes.
This might be a great time for you to stop by Prof. Juniper's Lab. Talk to her and, if you've seen 115 Pokemon on your Unova Dex, she'll give you TM10 (Hidden Power), a Special-based attack which has a different power and type depending on what individual Pokemon is using it. You can actually get this before the National Dex, but I'm just mentioning it here since I'm not sure where else to mention it right now! Haha.
Cedric Juniper will also check your caught Pokemon in the National Dex.
From here, there are tons of things you can do. It's mostly non-linear at this point, so feel free to poke around. I'll probably just be including my general direction as to where to go, because it's easier writing it that way, haha.
One thing you might want to know right this moment, though, is what kind of Pokemon you can fish up with your Super Rod. You know, so you know what you've been missing out on all this time.

Now that you can fish...

After beating the game and getting the Super Rod from Looker, there are plenty of previous areas you can return to that may have some Pokemon of interest to catch. Remember, when using the Super Rod, you can also face that special "surfacing fish" you'll see floating in the water (similar to the shaking patches of grass) and fish right into it to encounter rarer Pokemon.

Other than that, open up your Town Map and take a look at some things really quick.
First, do you see the whole eastern side of Unova? The part across the bridges? Yeah, well that's where you'll be able to explore now. You can start at either the Village Bridge and Route 11 to the north, east of Opelucid City, or you can take the southern route across the Marvelous Bridge east of Route 16, which in turn is east of Nimbasa City.
This is very important for you to understand, though: all of the Trainers from here on in are going to whallop you with level 60 - 65+ Pokemon! I'm not kidding. Don't let their levels intimidate you, though, because they'll be either on par or slightly weaker than the Pokemon the Elite Four used, due to their inferior stats and movesets, and they'll give you a TON of EXP when you knock them out. You'll just want to make sure you have plenty of healing items and can accept a loss from a Trainer, because it can happen. They'll also throw a bunch of older generation Pokemon at you, too. In fact, that's pretty much all they use.
On the bright side, you can catch very high level wild Pokemon on any of those routes, ranging from the upper 40's to mid 50's in the tall grass or all the way past level 60 in the thick grass! Like the Trainers' Pokemon, you can catch a boatload of Pokemon from any of the previous regions in these areas, so it might be a good time to reformulate your team.
If you have a Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver, as well as access to a second Nintendo DS, you'll want to head towards the Poke Transfer Lab on Route 15, just past the Marvelous Bridge. You may have to fight one or two trainers, but then you can transfer Pokemon from your 4th Generation version, which may help. That's also the path I'll be guiding you towards if you're following this guide part-by-part.
However, if you're looking for a strong Pokemon and don't have access to a second DS and/or older Pokemon games, now would be a GREAT time for you to return to the Relic Castle, because you can catch a monstrous level 70 Volcarona in the castle depths! That will greatly help your progress through the eastern areas, giving you a very high level Pokemon in your team.
It's your choice. I'm covering both! Remember, you can always do whichever one later.
