X&Y Glittering Cave

Glittering Cave

I'll be writing a detailed guide through the Glittering Cave soon! But for now, enjoy this video.
Here are some things you need to know:
  • To get through to the back part of the cave, keep going straight at every intersection.
  • At the third intersection, take a turn and you'll find TM65 Shadow Claw.
  • You don't run into wild Pokémon while going through the tunnel like normal; you only encounter them when you reach a shadowy part of the cave, where you'll be forced to enter the fight. This shadowy part respawns each time you enter the cave.
  • In the basement, you can use Rock Smash (receive in Ambrette Town) on the rocks down there to fight wild Dwebble and Onix, plus there's a chance you can pick up a fossil, such as the Old Amber, which can be revived in the lab.
  • You also receive your choice of Jaw Fossil (turns into the Rock/Dragon-type Tyrunt) or the Sail Fossil (turns into the Rock/Ice-type Amaura). These must be revived in the lab and are revived at level 20.
  • Tyrunt evolves at level 39 or later during the day; Amaura evolves at level 39 or later during the night.

If you would like to help while I write this out, all you need to do is leave a comment with Pokémon you've found here, what level they're at, and what version you're playing. It's helpful if you mention if they were uncommon or rare to find, too. Thanks!
