Cyllage City Gym
In the Cyllage City Gym, you'll have to fight a bunch of Rock-type Pokémon. They use a variety of secondary types, meaning Water- and Grass-type moves won't typically be your best option; Fighting- and Ground-type attacks are most effective against everything in the Gym, while Steel-type attacks are also very good against nearly everything.
To solve the puzzle for the Gym, see the video above (I'll write directions for it later).
The Gym Leader is Grant, the guy you saw earlier in Cyllage City. He uses an Amaura L25 and a Tyrunt L25.
Amaura is a Rock/Ice-type, which may present trouble for any Ground-type you're hoping to use (moves are still great), but it faces a variety of weaknesses. Even a weak Fighting-type attack, like Rock Smash, will do a lot of damage to Amaura.
Tyrunt, on the other hand, is a Rock/Dragon-type, canceling out several of its weaknesses, such as Water and Grass. Ice-type attacks are your best bet against Tyrunt, but if you don't have any of those handy, Fighting-, Steel-, Ground-, or Dragon-type attacks will hit for super effective damage as well.
After you've beaten Grant, he'll give you the Cliff Badge as well as TM80 Rock Tomb, which has been buffed to 60 power and 95 accuracy. It's a great Rock-type attack that lowers the foe's Speed after it's been used, too.
