Poke Transfer Lab
The Poke Transfer Lab allows you to transfer your Pokemon from Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver. You need to have two Nintendo DS systems (or DSi or 3DS systems) at your disposal. Talk with Mr. Andrew Park and he'll run it all by you.
Assuming you have two Nintendo DS systems, you'll need to start the process on your Black 2 or White 2 version, and then on your other Nintendo DS system, you'll need to go to DS Download Play (the location of this varies depending on what system you're using) and select the Poke Transfer download.
From there, you'll need to select six Pokemon from that Pokemon game's PC box. Keep in mind the following:
- This is a ONE-WAY transfer. Pokemon sent to Black 2 or White 2 from a 4th Generation game can never be sent back, so make sure you want to do this!
- Pokemon will have their held items put into the bag on the 4th Generation game. This means you cannot transfer items from the 4th Generation games to the 5th Generation games.
- Pokemon that know HM moves cannot be transferred. In order to transfer those Pokemon, you'll need to visit the Move Deleter in that game (Canalave City in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum; Blackthorn City in HeartGold and SoulSilver).
Afterwards, you'll play a little mini game on your other DS where you have to lob Poke Balls at Pokemon hiding in the grass using a bow on the bottom screen. It's not outrageously tough, and once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to transfer lots of Pokemon very quickly.
Black City (black 2)
Black City has changed a bit from the original Pokemon Black. There's still a Pokemon Center and a few places to visit. Now the main place to visit is the Black Tower, which is similar to Mt. Battle in Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD in the sense that you have to fight through an area, but don't get to heal until you reach a new area.
As you pass through the areas, you'll unlock shops where you can buy things every day in Black City.
- After clearing Area 2, you can buy a Thunderstone on weekdays and a Protector on weekends for $10,000.
- After clearing Area 5, you can buy a Fire Stone on weekdays and a Metal Coat on weekends for $20,000.
- After clearing Area 8, you can buy a Dusk Stone on weekdays and an Up-Grade on weekends for $40,000.
- After clearing Area 10, you can buy a Dawn Stone on weekdays and a Dubious Disc on weekends for $60,000.
All of those items can only be purchased once per day.
Inside the Black Tower, though, is where your real challenge lies..
Black Tower
Black Tower
There are a total of 10 areas in the Black Tower. You can't use items while you're inside (other than held items), or even go into your bag, but you do gain EXP and some money from each battle, making it a good place to train in. You won't be able to heal, but you don't have to clear all 10 areas in a row; once you've cleared one, you'll be taken outside, healed, and are then able to visit the next area or revisit a previous one.
The areas and Trainers inside are random, aside from the Boss Trainers, who remain the same every time. In each area, you need to track down the Gate Trainer, who will unlock the gate to the Boss Trainer, who you must fight in order to clear the area. You may also find a Nurse or Doctor to heal your Pokemon up if you can win against them, but keep in mind they will heal your Pokemon only once per trip through the area, so you should save their healing for a time when you need it.

Key to the City
After you've cleared Area 5, you'll receive the Tower Key that unlocks Black City. While this may not be important to you if you are playing Black 2, which is where you unlock the key in, it can be sent to a White 2 version using the Key System's Send & Receive Keys feature to grant them access to Black City and Black Tower, which are not normally accessible.
