46. The League Champion+Rematch with Bianca

The League Champion

Climb up the massive flight of steps to reach the temple where the League Champion waits for you. Once inside, do not walk on the stairs unless you are ready to fight! I warned you about the stairs. Heal your Pokemon up first, save your game if you must (remember kids, spamming the X items can win just about any fight, but without them you're toast), and then proceed to fight the Champion for reals this time!

Here he is, probably the strongest Trainer in the game (outside of the Battle Subway). Well, it's debatable as to whether or not he or Cynthia is a tougher opponent (Cynthia's team is a lot better rounded, is a lot quicker, and generally has higher Attack), but you did still have to fight through four other challenging foes without a chance to visit the Pokemon Center, so consider that. Plus he doesn't live in a house — he's in his flippin' temple!
Anyway, you'll be graced with some pretty cool music during your battle, exclusive to Alder himself. You'll also be greeted by his Accelgor, which is a zippy, stealthy Bug-type thing with some lousy defenses, decent Sp. Atk, and a ridiculous amount of Speed. Try to lead with something that can either set up Light Screen or that has naturally high Sp. Def, because Accelgor's attacks add up rather quickly. Bug Buzz is its main line of offense, but Focus Blast and Energy Ball are also there to cause some trouble. Fire-type attacks are your best bet against Accelgor, as well as two other of Alder's Pokemon, but Flying- or Rock-type attacks work well, too.
Bouffalant has several moves at its disposal. Its signature move, Head Charge, has very high power but will also inflict recoil damage to itself. Be careful of that move, because it hits hard! Earthquake, Megahorn, and even Stone Edge are also possibilities. It will likely take two or three hits to take down, but thankfully it is quite slow.
Druddigon is Alder's Dragon-type of choice. You should be grateful to see it rather than the likes of Haxorus or Hydreigon, but you will not be quite as grateful when you realize Druddigon's Outrage still hurts. It packs Superpower(s) and some strong Dark-type attacks, but it is also solely Physical-based, so as long as you can pump up your Defense with something like Reflect or X Defends, you should be able to withstand its onslaught — unless it scores a critical hit.
Another strong Pokemon of Alder's is his Escavalier, which is slow as tar but has monstrously high Attack. Iron Head will hit for good damage and also possibly cause you to flinch, while X-Scissor just hits hard in general. Fire-type attacks are definitely the way to go, but if those aren't available, try hit it with Electric- or Water-type attacks, preferably from Pokemon of the same type.
Like N, Alder also enjoys taking his opponents on with smiling ice cream cones, so you'll find aVanilluxe on Alder's team as well. This one can set up Light Screen to weaken your Special-based attacks, it can raise its own Defense a lot with Acid Armor, and it can also hit potentially quite hard with Blizzard. Thankfully Blizzard doesn't have a lot of PP, nor does it have reliable accuracy, but it can still hurt. Fire-type attacks are once again the way to go, but Rock-, Steel-, or Fighting-type attacks can also turn this icicle into some shave ice.
Last but not least is his pride and joy, his Volcarona, sitting tough at level 77. Try not to joke around about this thing, because if it gets happy with Quiver Dance, it can be a royal pain to take out. It may choose to incinerate you for massive damage with Overheat, lowering its Sp. Atk two stages afterwards — which it may wish to recoup with Quiver Dance. Physical-based attacks are the way to go against it, particularly Rock-type ones. A successful Stone Edge should take it out in one hit, but Rock Slide and Smack Down (if you have it) are also viable. Even Acrobatics or Waterfall will be very effective at taking it down.
Keep in mind that Alder has a bunch of Full Restores and is ready to use them at any moment, but hopefully you'll manage to take his Pokemon out without much dispute. Best of luck to you, Trainer!
Beating Alder the "Lazy Way"
There are two things that are great news about Alder: first, half of his team is weak to Fire-type attacks. Score! And second, his lead Pokemon, Accelgor, will do very little to hamper your way to a six Quiver Dance sweep. It will be Bug Buzz'ing while you set up with Quiver Dance, possibly lowering your Sp. Def, but it won't do too much damage overall. After you've got your six Quiver Dances in, patch that HP up of yours and then Flamethrower to dispose of that pest. Gone.
Next up, he sends up his Bouffalant (most likely, at least; the order will probably be the same using this strategy). Either Flamethrower or Bug Buzz take it out with no effort. Don't even think; just do, unless PP is magically a concern.
Escavalier. Say hello to Flamethrower. Goodbye.
Volcarona. Shoot, this is actually the most difficult of his Pokemon due to its high level and it sharing a Fire-type. That may make you think that your attack doesn't matter, but trust me,use Flamethrower. It's not gonna absorb your attack or anything and will do normal damage due to its Fire-type-weak Bug-type. It'll be a one hit KO for sure. Show that other Volcarona to the flame!
Druddigon is something you'll want to Bug Buzz rather than burn with fire, but it, too, will not give you any complaints after it is slain.
That just leaves Vanilluxe, which you should know what to do with. If, for whatever reason, Vanilluxe comes out sooner than this, make absolutely sure you do not lollygag, because it could potentially set up Light Screen and really ruin your plans of a successful sweep. It's just not fun. But I mean, seriously, you could take it out in one hit with Flamethrower even without Quiver Dance, so watch just how quickly that thing burns with +6 Sp. Atk behind that blast.
And that is how you defeat the Elite Four and the Champion using nothing more than some items and two untrained Pokemon.
After defeating Alder, he'll take you back somewhere that you should have gone a long time ago... the Hall of Fame! You'll appear in the heart of the temple and he will then congratulate you and place your Poke Balls on the center of the table thing.
Now you get to see a pretty AWESOME Hall of Fame entry scene that does a great job at reflecting your Pokemon's types and everything! It is very well done, or at least looks quite a bit different from the previous ones.
Congratulations, Pokemon League Champion!
But wait, there's more! After you've entered the Hall of Fame for the first time, you'll be able to talk to Bianca every day in Professor Juniper's Lab in Nuvema Town. On Saturdays and Sundays, though, she'll even battle you

Rematch with Bianca

After you've entered the Hall of Fame, you can find Bianca in Nuvema Town, inside of Professor Juniper's Lab. She'll give you various information and tell you about some of the swarming Pokemon when you talk to her, but on Saturdays and Sundays, she'll even be up for battling you. She's not very tough, though, but she's still able to be fought.
Wait, Trainer! There's one more challenger you can take on in-game, although after everything you've just gone through, she'll likely be rather underwhelming for your magnitude of power. After you've beaten Alder and entered yourself in the Hall of Fame, you'll be able to take on Bianca in the Professor Juniper's Lab in Nuvema City, but only on the weekends.

Her Pokemon are all much easier than any of the Elite Four's were, but they still provide a nice amount of EXP when you knock them out, so they're helpful for training up some of your newer Pokemon you need to give EXP to.

What now?

Trainer, that's for you to decide! You've done pretty much everything there is to do in the main and post-game parts of the game. You can work on collecting all of the Pokemon for your Pokedex, taking on tough opponents in the Battle Subway, perfect your performance skills in the Pokemon Musical Hall, and connect with other players online over Nintendo Wi-Fi to trade and battle with them!
Or, if you're feeling up to it, you can always restart your game from scratch and try again, playing through with an entirely different team and crafting your own goals. Congratulations on making it this far!
